Yep I can confirm that, the six speed manual has 310 NM of torque, the five speed manual has 285 NM of torque. My dad has driven one with me sitting next to him and well for a diesel, it is quite fast. It does 0-100km/h in 9.6. The TDI engine's are quite sporty (relitivly speaking) but the problem with this 130hp version(and the 150hp one) is that their not very progressive, torque increases too sudden and that's not very pleasant. That's the good thing about the common rail engines. If I were you I would take the Mondeo 130hp diesel. It has a 9.9 time (0-100) = still good, and it's way more confortable engine. And the chassis is better, like they proved in Top Gear (F1 replica car's). I do like the 130hp passat engine, but I like the mondeo's engine better (my uncle has one).

I've got a Mazda MX-3 with the V6 engine, oh and it's red, wish it was a bit faster though, I guess you can't ever go fast enough, it tops out at 135 mph...but handles kinda like a go kart...and the engine has a sweet sound..
