I dont who you have spoken to (other than listening the Clarkson the Idiot) but the Z06 is not a bone shaking ride - it is a firm sprts suspension nto unlike pretty much any other sports car on the market. And the fact that the transverse fibreglass spring combined with non-adjustable shocks can deliver a 7:42 Northloop lap would be all the proof you need that there is is nothing inherently bad about a completely independant 4 wheel suspension with double wishbones front and rear - especially since just the addition of the real time adjustable damping suddenly has everyone worshipping the very same setup.
Isnt it an irony that all that pent up anti-US sports car rhetoric about the "leaf spring this and leaf spring that" resulted in one of the fastest laptimes ever recorded around the Northloop for a factory production car
Now we know why the euro car makers are falling all over themsleves to install licensed copies of the Corvette shocks. What's next??? Are they going to lighten their suspension designs and body structures further by incorporating transverse leaf springs?
