Right now if you want a Blue-ray and have an HDTV, PS3 is the way to go.
If your a gamer and want to play allot of games 360 should be your choice. It's as simple as that!
And with this winters both GTA and Halo 3 coming out on the 360, I know where I'm spending my money!

How about more than double of good games on XBox 360 compared to PS3?

^^^^^^^I dont really know what u call a good game.........but IMO there are not many good games on XBOX right now. Especially not enought to set it apart from PS3 just because of games. The best thing it has that PS3 doesnt is Gears of War...........and that shit gets old to me.
Now when Halo 3 comes out and PS3 still doesnt have crap.........then you have something to brag about...........Heck the new XBOX will be out in a couple years anyway...LOL

From gamespot:
Those on the fence about getting a PlayStation 3 this year might be swayed by an ongoing offer from Sony. Those who apply and are approved for a Sony-branded credit card will get a $150 rebate on anything they buy at the online Sony Style store with said card. Said store is also selling the $499 60GB PlayStation--meaning those who get the card will get the console for just $349 after their rebate arrives in 8-12 weeks.
The deal is made more compelling by several other factors. First, the $499 60GB PS3 is being phased out, meaning in a matter of weeks, the $599 80GB model will be the only one available in North America. Second, the 60GB PlayStation is almost certain to be the last which includes the PlayStation 2's Emotion Engine hardware for full, non-software-based backwards compatibility. Third, buying a PS3 before 9/30 entitles the buyer to 5 free Blu-ray Disc movies, a few of which were not completely panned by critics (Babel, Blazing Saddles, Corpse Bride). The card offer expires on August 31, and supplies of the 60GB PS3 are expected to last into the fall. The offer is only good in the United States.

How many here are using a 1080P display?
I got mine for mostly movie watching to go with my Sony XBR2 40" LCD. I enjoy playing the games though and have yet to really tap into the other areas as well like the browsing, media storage type capabilities.
One thing Sony should of did though is made it region free and dual voltage. I can't understand why people don't make things dual voltage, isn't it cheaper to produce? I move way too often to different countries to rely solely on 110V!#$@#$ That or the US of A should of f*cking gone with the world standard of 220V...

The info is flying fast today as Sony's launches a multi-tiered attack on the entertainment community. Luckily, we've got some additional info on the just announced PlayTV TV tuner / DVR for the PS3, and we'd like to share it. The unit will apparently be coming to Europe "early in 2008" with other territories to follow (PAL only for now). The new box will feature two 1080p tuners, which utilize the European Digital Video Broadcasting system (DVB-T) -- which should dash any US hopes for the time being. The system will allow you to store recorded broadcasts on your PS3 drive, and also transcode and transfer the saved files to your PSP. Additionally, you'll be able to use the PSP's "Remote Play" feature to program and watch your PlayTV away from home. Sony reps also make the bold pronouncement that the PlayTV architecture will "never be out of date" due to automatic network updates from the company. We're gutted that the US gets no love from Sony on this one, but it's a good time to be a European PlayStation 3 fan, that's for sure.

220v is "more dangerous" and costs less per KWH

FYI, if you guys have a Kmart near by, they currently have a 20% Coupon going on right now (Do a search on Deal sites to find it). Most people have had success using it, that means you can get a PS3 (40GB version) for as low as $320 USD.
Pretty damn good deal.
