How very nice. A review of the Alfa Romeo GT. I was kinda hoping to see one! Thx Alien & Draak.
IMO that GT is very very beautifull. Yes a pitty it isn't RWD or even AWD would have been better but they say that for a FWD chassis it's very good and the price isn't to high. I think it looks 3 times as expensive as it is... With that if they fitted a 400hp engine and a Masarati badge to it, IMO it would look cheap. And that goes for the exterior & the interior. Ok no body is going to confuse this with a masarati, I just mean it's a beautifully Italian design!
If I was looking for a sedan in that catigory: Jag X-Type, BMW 3, Merc C, ... I would take this one in metalic black paint! Ok, maybe the 3 series has a better chassis, but it's also more expensive and everyone has one... Driving around in this GT however, even if they'll sell well, will still catch people's eye.
Just taking a 10 min studying brake... tomorrow I've got a law examn = a shitload to study. So wish me luck

I've seen the Morgan video, and I like that car!!So unusual, so sexy and different from everything else on the road!
But I'm not too happy of the VX220 Diesel...no no a sportcar must go with petrol not diesel!
Now I'll download a the Alfa GT video eh THANKS

levensnevel: do you get DW-World? AMS is on tuesday, I believe. If not, you can always get it from VOX in german
zippo: good luck with the exam! Yea, I would pick the alfa GT too even though I love the jag. Merc and BMW are just too common. Time to dream about driving the alfa romeo GT with that sweet 3.2L V6

Alien,
I'm just a simple Dutchie
We got cable television and we count our blessings having BBC1 & BBC2 & Eurosport & Discovery Channel within our cable'bundle' of televisionnetworks...
So no DW-World; no AMS; no Vox; no 5th Gear (last season one of our commercial networks aired the 1st series of 5th Gear though)
Dutch made programs on motoring are 998 out of 1,000 times really crap.

Don't really like the back of the GT (I saw it for real last week), and it's a real pitty that it has got FWD, but I'll have a look at the video anyway. Thanks Alien.
Good luck zippo!

^^^ Hahahaha!
Yesterday I watched the AMS review of the Alfa GT. Very nice. Thanks Alien and draak! Coincidentally I happened to see a couple of Alfa GTs in real life for the first time too. A trailor full of them, presumably on their way to the dealers to win over the hearts of the customers. Which they did to me anyway. What a joy to look at!

I'm glad you like it too. I've never seen one in real life... I'm hoping a bit that they won't sell as good as I think so that when I have the money to get one it will still be exclusive

Yep, I've read that too. It's probably the combination of a heavy V6 engine and front wheel drive... The alfa 147 has the same problem (remember JC's review). In the short test that I've read they said the 1.9JTD (diesel) was very good. It has 150hp and lots of torque. Yeah I know, it's a diesel, but those JTD engines are quite good!
Oh and when my dad will buy his new car, I'll surely try to convince him to take a testdrive in the GT. But I don't think it's a car for him. To little space in the boot & the back.

Another new video uploaded to zippo's webspace:
AutoWeek - Caterham Super 7.mpg
Overall, very positive review. So, are they selling them in north america? I've only seen a lotus 7 replica once ever.
