It's like that on a lot of cars. The tape on the CGT might have been poorly placed or dirty, as usually the lettering sticks on quite well.
However, some people don't like any letters on their cars (since it spoils the look of the car for them), and so they use some piano wire or fishing line to remove them (or in some cases, heat up the letters with a hair dryer so that they can be easily pulled off). If this is the case, it's actually a good thing the letters are not screwed on, as it leaves the body perfectly straight once the badges are removed.
You win some, you lose some. Just get a dealer to put it back on or do it yourself, a 2 minute job

he is also the reason my ban was lifted on jabbasworld and i would like to thank him for that!
you're a good guy michael and i am sorry i jumped to the wrong conclusion and made a jerk of myself before getting to know something about you!
keep on being you!

Do you still have the M3 convertible, i would like to hear about that,a nd of course the 645?...(im BMW crazy)

No, I turned my in Blue M3 convertible early on its lease and the other M3, a white convertible, it's lease was up or something..... I'm not sure what the case really was on that car. The BMW light gold mist 645 convertible, I traded on the F430 and the Black 645 coupe along with the GT2, were traded on the Carerra GT. Confusing? It is for me too!
BMWs? I absolutely love BMWs. Had a lot of them...... 5 different models in one year all at the same time. I was the first on the list at the Akron, Ohio dealership for the new 06 BMW M5, but had to cancel my spot when I decided to purchase the Ferrari Maranello. I was bummed out and of course so was the dealership cause they had lost my business. Also had the pleasure of owning a 2001 Z8, but traded that on the Maranello. I would be very happy to buy any BMW tomorrow if necessary!

Hi Jabba, I would appreciate it if you wouldn't ban him unless there's something else I don't know about him. He's entitled to his thinking. He may think I'm a little candy ass or sissy for always mentioning my Father but the reality of the situation is Dad busted his ass off making his business super succesful as I said before. I have what I have because of him. It's not because I invented the computer or electricity or the car! I was lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time.... the hospital or birth center at the age of 6 days old when Mom and Dad adopted me.
If I didn't give credit to my Father for making it all happen, then I would be as phony as a $3 bill. And I think most, if not all of you know that by now. Especially after passing the scrutiny of the JW FBI, CIA, Interpol, Scotland Yard and every other agency in the world backround check!
So Jabba, please consider giving that guy another shot. I've had worse things said to me in my life. It looks like you're protecting my feelings (which I certainly appreciate) but at 58, I'm pretty sure I can handle it. Plus I think he was 48 or so himself. Making that kind of remark sounds more pathetic coming out of his mouth than anything I say about my good fortune! Plus, I've always been told that when you ignore an ignorant person, they usually just dry up and blow away!

Well I don't like rude people and that comment was un-called for. I don't think he will be a big loss to JW.

Rude comment
OK Jabba, Thanks for sticking up for me but I was just going to respond to him myself and explain that if I indeed claimed I was the Mastermind or CEO behind all of my success, then being a BSr and liar and when found out, he would have had every right to tear me a new a-hole. But, being honest like I am gets you everything including respect and friendship which are very valuable things in the world today. :good:

I can just see you two now, reclining back in your chairs with you hands on your keyboards just waiting for the right time and saying..... "Go ahead punk, make my day!!"

Thanks for sharing your experiences, magwheel
I think you're a good guy with a good sense of reality. You're a rich guy and you know you're in a lucky position. Many rich kids think the whole world belongs to them and they don't realise how lucky they are.
It seems however that the word selfish is unknown to you, just look at the time you've spend on JW so far just to please us with your experiences. And I must not forget to mention you're respect and love for your parents. Then there are you're dogs, rabbit, the boys at the Ice Cream stand etc.
I've got a lot of respect for you, keep on posting!

What do you normally use as a determinaiton whether you lease or outright purchase a car?
This is a topic that has always fascinated me - what drives people to "rent" vs own various cars etc.
I always thought the norm was "rent/lease" the commuter vcar. buy the keeper - but I have seen and heard many varied answers to the quesiton.
