Run to the Alamo - RC might want to enter this one

I've run the "Run to the Coast" event with my Trans Am the last two years and these are pretty fun events. You won't get the kind of track time that you might with an ordinary open track day, but the competitive aspect is fun. RTTA follows the typical RTT format: a bit of autocross, a bit of track time, and a speed-stop challenge.

There's no actual car requirement. They just reveal the time and date of the registration opening to muscle car places first. I'm going to try to run both of my cars at the next one in California. The main rule for qualifying for competition is 200+ treadwear tires. If you have too aggressive of tires, your runs are counted in the exhibition class.

Dollars to donuts they wont make them in 335 or 345/18 size.
I wonder the 1997 through 2002 Viper guys are doing - I dont think anyone makes a 335/18 in a decent compound anymore.

I'm not sure how close the event is to you given that everything in Texas isn't all in the same place, but I think you'd have fun if you checked it out or ran in exhibition class.
