Sport Auto: RUF RT 12 @ the Nordschleife
Sadly not the complete lap onboard, it achieved a time of 7:35 (5th best time ever in SA Super Tests). Even more impressive is its straight line performance:
0-100 3.6
0-160 6.8
0-200 9.9 sec.

There is no doubt, the RT12 is a brutally fast car - even deceptively so... and the effortless manner in which it rushed to 180mph is what first encouraged me to aim for 700bhp in my street car.
I really hope to own an RT12 one day - that car is what dreams are made of.

A clone Porsche VIN car was about be about $180K the last time i checked, and a RUF VIN real deal was still about $250K. But I would not be surprised if the price is creaping up again... every car I lust after keeps getting dearer and dearer
Last I heard the new price was about $320K to $360K depending on options - everytime I see the car I am literally stopped in my tracks... I lust after the RT12 even more than the CGT or any Ferrari - including the Enzo.

I know of a 964 'ellowbird worth about $130K that is not for sale... from what I recall the few 993 RUF turbo R (not to be confused with the 996 R turbos ) cars were pretty pricey - and that no conversions were done - they were all factory "white body" builds costing near $300K in 1996 dollars. A bargain compared to the $350K+ 1996 RUF CTR II's.
I have only ever seen 2 CTR II's for sale - and one is still unsold - dont think I ever recall seeing a turbo R onsale - they seem to just "get bought" as if they only sell by word of mouth - sort of like I am about to put the word out for you
