329awhp/395awtq Mazdaspeed6 (MPS Mazda6) my shop built it!
OK so today we have officially made the highest HP MAzdaspeed6 or Mazda6 MPS to the rest of the world. a few have claimed more power but can't back up the claims with proof well today we did just that. keep in mind this is a raw tune and we are still working on the fuel cut issues at high rpms but this throttle cutback and Direct Injection are tricky bastards. I will say the car pulls like a son of a bitch but the driver needs to learn how to drive the car because he can't get any good times out of it.

330/394 is not bad in a 3600lb package... but stock they seem a little anemic.
I see these MazdaSpeed6 things all over the place.. what the hell are they and have they just become the latest EVO/STi wannabes?
It seems every yahoo with a stock one is out to race - worse than the M3's this season

yes in stock form they are pretty slow and I think Mazda dropped the ball on that one but it does give us the opportunities to make money off these people. The nice thing is that they are relatively cheap you could get them for like $24K and with $5K in parts at cost we made the thing an EVO/STi killer and we are only at stage 1 with this car.

Hmm.. this car isnt Normally Aspirated, but rather an Forced Induction setup..
So unless NA means something different in Europe, I am guessing this car is not the norm or easily duplicated - if you read into the skepticism at the Mazda webforum...

They can hold their own. They have the biggest brakes of any production Mazda to date.
Oh and yeah this car has a pretty big turbo on it, a 3071R running low boost for that turbo aswell.

Still doesn't answer the question if they can stop and go like EVO's and STi's
Are they competitive in SCCA AutoX Solo I and or II?

What is the point of that question?
An race prepped EVO with slicks will rape a Miata so bad it will probably need therapy - they are brutal at a level the Miata could never be.
The point of the questioning is to find out if the MazdaSpeed6 is just and engine with a poor car/chasis wrapped around it - or if it fits into and is competitive in some class... as an example, against the EVO and STi in SCCA class racing, Solo I, II or AutoX??

I haven't run one on an autoX but they feel like it is compareable to an STi

Very unlikely, I have been out in a autokhana event against a Mazda 6 MPS and without stroking my ego too much he didn't stand a chance. The things are way too big, and really weren't designed with track work in mind. Much more of a comfortable highway cruiser, and they do that well.
Impressive figures from this one though, these days $5k in exhaust/intake/tune will get you good results from most turbo cars. I've spent about the same amount on mine so far....
Horses for courses.

Well we are going fro broke on this car now. The clutch blew out last Sunday so we figured while we put in a racing clutch and flywheel why not drop in a fully built engine along with it and boost the crap out of it. we also have a set of coilovers for the car now aswell.

So now you are just turning it into a 4wd "Supra" - all boost and no handling
