1988 Nissan 300ZX Turbo
Well, as of last night my driveway now has significantly over 700 bhp and 700 torque in it. No I still have not bought the vette, but I did add a 3rd car.
Without further ado.. The $2500 beater.

Now the sad news. Sometime in the next two weeks I will part ways with my Mazda 6. 40000 miles and almost 4 years later it is time for it to go. It is being bought by a member of the family. I will be down to the trans am (now with a new very loud exhaust) and this 1988 300zx turbo. The corvette is still on the horizon.

At present the car needs an alignment so I havent had a chance to really play with the handling. It certainly accelerates nicely. It feels alot faster then its 15.2 1/4 spec for sure.
More to come once I have some time to get the alignment fixed (may be a while as my free time is about shot right now).

Congrats on the new ride, any bigger pics? What do you have planned for it, just daily driving? How long until the Vette arrives?

This is the first generation of 300zx? I am not sure they was sold in Europe.
Congrats on the buy and I hope you'll have some fun with it

You certainly helped though I was actually looking for a thousand dollar car. I varied a bit from my price goal for good reason

The current plan is just daily driving. I'm not even sure how long I will have it given I may be moving soon. Still I wanted a stick shift car I could drive if/when it snows.
The vette has been put off for a few months given the lack of incentives and the better 08 being on the horizon (30 more bhp 30 more torque). As soon as Im satisifed the new 08 engine has no reliability issues I will place an order.
I certainly have bigger pics but I dont have a host that supports a larger size.

Nice Z car.
Looks like the first gen of the "euro styling" Z car (as I call it ). Sort of a "water shed" model - it's here they began either lose the "old school" Z fans or build a new fan base.

Is this the turbo model? How many miles has she racked up? How many owners?
Are all parts original or have things like the clutch, suspension been replaced?

Its a turbo with 134000 miles. The clutch and suspension have been replaced (new shocks and tie rods amongst other things). I know of 2 of the owners, no idea how far it goes beyond that. For 2500 I wasnt all that worried about a carfax.

Damn.. sounds like a great deal to me. Very nice find dude. I'm probably going to end up getting a beater bike instead of a car within the next month.
