Nah, its real. Many people have done this. The only problem is that the crap that you submerge your computer in eventually starts conducting electricity and you get screwed at that poiint if you don't chante the liquid out. Also, there's the problem of cooling it effectively and the cost, but it is quite an interesting project to take on with spare parts.

Well I wouldn't suggest doing it with anything expensive, I guess you would get a sense of achievement out of it, the only real advantage being that you might get a silent pc out of it.
