Well as an overall daily driver i believe the Turbo would work better. Doesn't bother me though.. I love the GT3's bodykit and imo it's what the Turbo should have looked like. The three peice opening grill with the CGT inspired centre peice looks pure "911 GT". The rear's nicely summed up too; centre exhausts work; first gen GT3 spoiler works. The engine is a pure high revver too; 8,400 revvs and 415bhp. It's 147kg (i think) lighter than the Turbo and it's RWD (My drive type choice)
Turbo: +
Usuabily
Power
Torque
Comfort
-
Heavier than GT3
I would suspect less agility than GT
Looks (opinion)
GT3: +
RWD
1395kg
More track orienated and as a result i believe it would faster on the track. For example the 996 GT3RS could pull 7:42 on the 'Ring, the Turbo completed it in 7:56.
Price, cheaper than Turbo
-
Not as comfy

The 997 Turbo with the Sport Chrono pack (the one that gives you a 10 second overboost when you hit the sport button) will do...
Why? It's a daily driver, it's got a boot, you can drive it in shitty conditions thanks to the 4wd, but it'll still hit the ton in 3.7 seconds... which means that you could piss on a Lambo or a Ferrari, and not look like a twat.
The GT3 is just impractical unless you already own another daily car. But if you're only having one of them to use, then methinks the turbo is the better choice.

The PASM in the new GT3 could change that

Go for the GT3: you don't need comfort if you are driving one: just turn on the sport button (in our head) and go, fast

For the track: GT3, If I had to live with the car on a daily basis: Turbo.
I probably would never buy a prosche to begin with, but if those were my only choices, that would be my answer. Or I would just buy a new Z06 and use it as a daily driver and the track and only be spending half the money. Sorry, had to go there.

I would take the turbo!!
I'd only take the GT3 if I already had another "road Porsche"!
