yeh I'm so stoked! Its such a blast to drive! Its the first really fast car that I've driven on a regular basis. Such a balanced and smooth car! Only I discovered it has a 130km/h speed limiter....makes overtaking on the highway a little bit of a pain in the arse...
edit: thanks for the site also! But I already work at a spare parts store here only we don't do porsche parts so I'm keen to find all the maintenance parts online...

130 km/h? Are you sure it's not 130 m/h? I think it is, in fact I think it's even higher than that, what year is it? Mine is an S and it's limited at 167 m/h (269 km/h) but that will soon be changed with new software . I think yours is a lot higher than that, in fact I'm sure of it. I can go 130 km/h in 3rd gear.
BTW, I recommend that site more for its knwledge base than as a place to get parts, plus you'll meet some more aussies there.

I just so happen to have an 86 944 Turbo, see my topic "I drive a watercooled Porsche". Watch that timing belt, did it break entirely or slip a tooth? I hope for your sake it just slipped. That engine is an interference engine meaning the pistions slam into the valves if the belt breaks. And if it doesn't already get the Hella H4's, they will improve night-time driving 10 fold, the original sealed beams are gross. Oh an some pics! If you ever need technical advice I'd love to help, also www.rennlist.com is good.
