Well, for sure we don't know what caused the crash, but we also know that in Italy the speed limit on such road should be probably something around 80 to 90 kmh and noway an Enzo would be disintegrated like that at "legal" speed. Given the fact that with such a car you tend to push a little bit, he was for sure going MUCH faster than allowed on that road. Luckily the only person involved was him.

well he must of been going quite fast for it to end like that unless a tonka truck came along. even at 100 kays does not do that to a family sedan.
even if something else was the cause like a stray dog or blown tyre, then he should of considered these factors.

Sad sight
If he was the only one involved in the crash?
What the hell could he have hit....the sound barrier?
I never thought it would be possible to obliterate a full carbon fiber car like that
RIP

Why have a opened this thread?
Sorry Stracing but saying that he deserves it is stupid  I say fuck the car - the man was much more important, and the man who was able to make money to buy an Enzo have my respect. I think Ferrari didnt sell Enzo's to everyone.
I guess he did couple of purles(word) and that smashed the car by the road so much

That's a sad sight. In this case it's ok to say it was just a car.....someone lost their life. Not cool. My guess is that he got off-road and flipped it over a few times, especially with no other cars involved. Makes me think twice about how I drive sometimes.

anyone have a count on how many enzos have been wrecked/totaled. I know of maybe 4 or 5 that have had damage done to them. The most famous one being the one in Tampa Florida where the owners son caused $400,000 worth of damage to the car. I know of 2 that have been completely totaled beyond recognition. This one and the one that caught on fire.

RIP to the man who died. i really am cerious as to what caused the loss of controll (besides 660bhp) crashes that look like this dont often take place below 100mph 120kph. and CF monicoques are rigid, but they absorb impacts the best when in honeycomb form, as its deformable. im not sure the Enzo's monicoque (or CGT) is honeycomb, or not.
this is definately the worst Enzo accident seen yet, the fire was a loss, but this one was tragic.
