Lap Record - Radical at the Nordschleife - Now With Video
Everyone already knows that back in 2003 Radical took one of their limited edition SR3 Turbos to the Nurburgring, and on their one and only flying lap set a time of 7m19s with Phil Bennet at the wheel.
Now the rumour (yet to be confirmed) coming back from Germany is that today, with Michael Vergers driving, a production Radical SR8 in full road trim has lapped the Nurburgring Nordschleife in......
6m55s :shocked!:

The SR8 should be as road legal as all other Radicals, but I think you might be right about the truck
I would like to see and hear a vid of that car, I heard the sound of that car must be phenomenal

Why doesn't someone just put lights and plates on a Leman P-class car and shut these extremely single purpose cars up for good.

As JC said when the Renault F1 car did a sub 1-minute lap at the TG trap, if it doesn't have a cup holder it isn't a regular car/road car.
Here's an audio clip of the engine revving, it's quite nice http://www.radicalextremesportscars....runs/00004.MP3

well, i was thinking something similar... but with Group C cars of the 80's/early 90's... perhaps a reworked Dauer 962 road car???

would you consider a cgt a "streetable-user friendly car" rc?
some ppl wouldn't.
allright.... i RETRACT that statement.
after looking at the pics. its a race car.
any car that cannot last at least 150-000 miles is not a street car in my mind.
this could be considered a "track car you can drive there with"

We are fine master Al.. and we thank you for asking.
We are quite refreshed to make the acquaintance of such a polite young gentleman.
The Royal Corgis are as always vibrant and suitably aloof.
