Toyota is expecting much better results from the Canadians, whom are known for their conservative, business-friendly policies, anti-unionist mentality, and their willingness to work for slave wages. “Canadians don’t care, they’re given a job and they do it. Actually, when the Japanese companies first investigated bringing production plants to the USA in the early 1980s, they were worried the workers might not be up to their high standards. However, once they trained the American workers, they found them to be of very high quality and hard working.
