that's the same engine as the US Version GTO right?

there's a GTO that parks next to me in my building's parking structure.......it looks very average in person. rubbish interior too....the peformance is OK, but it's a heavy car, so 350hp gets sucked up trying to drag the weight around.
Please note for 2005 the gto gets a hood like that and the 400 hp ls2.

I think it was from both Aussie and US buyers.
BTW here are some nice high-res pics of it, plus close-ups of that bonnet:

Not bad. The interior still needs a lot of work though.

The story is, and I should know I help build these things, is that the Americans wanted bonnet scoops. So, we gave them THESE bonnet scoops. Then they turned around and said, no we don't like them, we don't want them. Fine.

But now we are stuck with them because of the great expense that went into manufacturing the new tooling for these bonnets. And as far as I know, these bonnets will not be optional but rather standard spec, so if you want a normal bonnet, bad luck.

BTW, the Americans I believe may still get bonnet vents on their GTO version but not the ones the Aussies designed.

If I had a working scanner I'd get a pic of the Americanised GTO. It actually looks tuff!!!! with brake cooling scoops (like a supra etc.) for the rear brakes, 355 wide rears and a sort of widebody looking kit.

There is also news that the production of the Monaro/GTO may leave Australia and go to an overseas plant instead.

How do you like them apples?

LOL....LMAO, you must be kidding. It really isn't that bad, just not as nice as the european cars. The cars you get over there might be worse than whats on the market in Aust.
