Well I have never seen a white LM before! How many of the machines were made in total?

TT saw one in the flesh! Looks like the one TT saw had a different front end though. I didn't know there were two versions. Or maybe the one TT saw was missing that wierd grill.

They had a feature of it once, can't remeber which show though either top gear or 5th gear, its a brute, makes the diablo look tiny and they usually dwarf everything else

I remember it was originally built for the Omani defense force for the purpose of patrolling the vast deserts. They thought it would sell well to paramilitary organizations all over.
Because it had the Countach engine, it wasn't the most reliable, particularly when subjected to the extreme desert conditions - dust and temperature.
Many years back, I remember reading a Thoroughbred and Classic Cars road test on the car - it had 455 hp and could hit 60 mph in under 8 secs and had a top speed of 125 mph (going on memory here). It was very effective offroad with tons of ground clearance and bank vault solid suspension. It used phenomenally expensive tyres (Pirelli Scorpions?)
I saw one in the Bay Area 2 years back in Santa Clara.

there were two versions of it....the LM 001 which shared the same engine as the lamborghini countach quattrovalvole engine....the two types of engine were available for it as for the countach as far as i know(the injection and the carburettors model),and when the diablo was launched around 1990, the lamborghini decided to launch the LM 002 which was basically a LM 001 with the same engine as the diablo and no changes on the shape, the suspension, the interior..........
The lamborghini was assembled about 15km to my house once the car was assembled in Irizar(Irizar is quite a famous company all over the world which makes bus shapes for long distances)
anyway...to get some information about these lambos the best thing is to get the "no limits" or "Head to head" videos from Jeremy Clarkson, once he tests the car in one of the videos that i have commented earlier(to be honest, im not sure which video it is)
Finally,,,,,the cars purpose was the military matter firstly, but when this launching was known by celebre people such as Silverster Stallone, Sadam Hussein, Keke Rosberg....Lamborghini decided to produce 200 of the LM 001...and these cars were sold inmediately as far as i know
