TT: That is a police car indeed. To me it looks like a Chrysler Intrepid:
It was a pure coincidence that the first car for "chrysler intrepid" on Google Images was this police one.
...and the second one was this:

I've seen the normal police cars in the area:
camaros,
crown victorias,
impalas,
avlanches...
and so on but i have also seen a Mercedes g500 (2000 - or newer) and my friend told me that the police in the area "possibly" also have a dodge viper, and a ferrari f355. No pics though! This is in vancouver,Bc canada... can anyone verify this?

Here in Portugal, the city police cars are quite normal. Renaults Megane, Fiats...
For the highway, we have a few Toyotas, Ford Focus, and for the quick guys... BMW 330Cd and Subaru Prodrives.
I have a (lucky) friend of mine that is a Policeman, and drives the prodrive every day...
