IS Ben Collins the Stig? i keep on hearing that he is but then i hear that no one will say, so what is it?

Seriously though, he might be. Alot of people seem to claim that they know, and some people say that during the British 24 hour race, Ben appeared tired and sweaty after one of the Stigs stints.

i keep hearing that he was at "the RH crash" and that he has been seen at TG walking around. i just wish they would drop it cause its awesome that its a mystery. i heard that not even the celeb see his face or know who he is.

I've only met one guy who has been in the GT studio during filming, but he said (at at least when he was there in fall 2005 series setting up the Renault F1) that it was 2 things: Really "the stig, and not a Renault test driver/driver" , and somebody a lot of people know about, at the time he was in the audience w/out the helmet on, and he is fairly well recognized in brittish motorsport... but also was in F1 for a bit... but as a tester...

It is rumoured that Ben is lined up to compete in NASCAR racing in 2008 (his stated ambition) and is undergoing testing with a leading team in Nextel Cup. (Could it be DEI?)

if you read the PDF linked here: http://www.hse.gov.uk/press/2007/e07025.htm he definitely was there.. I think its certain he has been the stig at some times, but perhaps not every time

Yes, xbeaker, that is how the rumor goes. This isn't new in anyway. It's just the best guess we've got, but it's just that, a guess. I'd rather not know the Stig's identity anyway.
