oh my god! Subaru is dead now as far as im concerned. Guess ill move to the darkside and be a evo fanboy. Im sure sales wise this is going to be a flop. But handling wise the wrx and sti versions should be better right?

That Impreza is the S-GT, the equivalent to the WRX (Subaru didn't want to call it WRX in Japan), although it has a 2.0l, 250 hp instead of the 2.5l, 225hp the WRX has.

The only place I can see the next STI having even a small chance of being accepted is in the UK (and some other bits of Europe) where men, for some reason, still think driving a hatch is cool. As far as Im concerned hatches are only marginally more acceptable then VW Beetles (you know, the ones that come with flowers put in by the dealer before you drive off the lot).
Everywhere else in the world........the Evo is going to reign supreme. I just cant see any self respecting American high school kid or university student with some cash to spend putting it down on a hot hatch........We dont want Renaults, we dont want Citroens, we dont want Seats, etc etc etc.......
There is only one hatch I might actually want to even see on the road and thats the next Ford Focus RS (the one thats apparently gona be AWD, Turbo, and hella fast....oh yeah, and not coming to the US). All the rest can stay accross the pond.
