Default Jul 22: Porsche 964 Carrera RSR 3.8 Replica indepth

Yep, another Porsche indepth. Since I became a Porsche owner, I must admit the %age of such indepths grew a lot, I hope you won't mind

This car is awesome! The owner took a 964 C2 and transformed it into a RSR replica.
I drive a 964 myself, but what the owner did to his car, transformed it into something wild!
Totally stripped of useless weight and lot of engine tuning. The day we shoot the pics, it was pushing 325 hp and 400 Nm, in a car that weights 1140 kg :shock:t. Now the car should have received a real RSR engine, good for some 400 hp

I can assure you the acceleration is incredible, compressing you in the seat as any 500+ supercar would do, and the experience is dominated by the transmission whine and engine internals screaming right in your ears thanks to the removal of any soundproof material or cabin goodies
Cornering is equally impressive, as well as braking and all in all, this must be one of the 5 scariest cars in which I had a ride lately! Sooooooooo fun!!!!!!!!!!!

As always, click any preview to be taken to the full 26 high-res pics update!

Ah the 964, the most costly 911 for Porsche to build. Still gotta love a RS series Porsche of any generation!

What a lovely car. Midnight blue color isn't it? Lovely color transitions in the rear 3 qtr shot displayed above. Would be cool to hear the sound from inside and outside - maybe next time?

Well, as I don't have a video camera, it won't be easy :bah:

I saw a similar 964 "fake" RSR this weekend, this model looks badass, especially with those fat lip wheels.

Thanks Matteo for the pix.
