Jesus christ you people can bitch about anything. What is a better bang for the buck than a mustang, there is nothing thats ever touched the mustang in pure bang for the buck, except for the F-bodies, and they are gone.

Thanks dis3as3d,
Very, very nice pics.
This '04 Mustang is the only retrolook car which wets my appetite :fadein:
My sympathy goes out for those JW'ers who have to use a 56K6 or less modem though :roll:

Ok your right, ford has 1 thing going for them and thats the GT40 ONLY. As for the New Stang, I`d take a EVO8 over and over again (AWD, best handling). As Bang for the buck, have you checked out the Srt-4?! How could I like that car, please tell me

Mustang has more power than the evo 8, and with the 2005 the GT will walk away from one. The mustang is the most bang for the buck car under 35 grand. the STi, and Evo are nice, but they have nothing. The stang has always been the best car bang for the buck. And its not the GT-40, its Ford GT.

X-ale you are really hypocritical, and that destorys any credability you have in my book. First you say that you do not like it because it has a "cheep plastic interior" (not saying anything about the cars performance or styling). Then you say you would much rather drive an Evo 8. I thought you were against cheep plastic interiors. Sounds to me like you are judging the car by the company, and you have pre-judged the any vehicle created by ford to be bad no matter what they do.

first of all the 2005 mustang GT will not walk away from the WRX Sti which i believe goes 0-60 in 4.9 or the Evo 8 RS which goes 0-60 in 4.4 seconds and costs only a little over 26 grand. the new mustang is still too heavy and will not beat these awd rally racers around a track... period. and yes, the srt-4 is fast as shit considering it is only 20 grand or less. i've never heard of the mustang being best bang for the buck ever. maybe the cobra might have a chance, but when you get that expensive you start getting into vette territory which would own one and would be still easier to mod.

a GT will rape a STi on a highway run, as you know highway rolls are horrible for AWD cars.

<Flame Suit On>
I guess this is about US Muscle car vs well Japanese Muscle cars .....
Up until the last 2 ~ 3 Generations of Mustangs, Mustangs are cars that design for striaght line.....in recent years, I gotta give Mustangs some credit especailly this 05 one, the interior finally make some appeal. Also the SVT and Cobras are starting to handle turns quite well (pls don't mention Covettes here since it's a 35k and under....ppl with their Z06 always came at this point and make the mucle car debate...)
Evo and Sti are rally based cars, where they are design for low to medium speed tracks and NOT for highway runs......so ppl keep saying that STi will lose on the highway or they aren't good @ the highway is like saying Michael Schumacher is not good at basketball. SO WHAT?? that's not the point.
I don't think there's a problem with "It's a ford".........it's a personal opinion, just like "It's a Ferriar...woooo" Ford also with a few other american brands has the fastest depreciation rate on cars.....there are ppl who liked the design and appeal but looking at this single fact and get turned off....
pls only fame me lightly if u think what i said is garbage....thx =)

He said the STi wont get walked by the GT, and i gave him a example, anyways most of the people who drive their STis/Evos are to young to even know what they are for, probably dont even know what WRC is and like them because of Fast and Furious. So they race highway and loose like dumbasses because they dont know AWD is just a hamper at highspeeds. btw the cobra is SVT, you must be thinking of the Mach 1, full name is Ford SVT Mustang Cobra.

First of all the people I know that have STIs and Evos (myself included) know exactly what WRC is. and Yes the Cobra can walk all over the STI on the highway and people need to accept that fact. Hell the Mustang has the most available aftermarket parts of any car.
