Round where I live, there are a lot of astras as panda cars.
for those more determined criminals there are new Skoda Octavia vRS and Vauxhall Vectra GSi's and the like.
For those light fingered among us who insist on 'boosting' really quick cars, there are a few Imprezas
On the motorways are mainly Volvo V70's, but there are also old range rovers.
There are also a few unusual vehicles:

toyota camrys and mitsubishi magnas in unmarked form to nab unsuspecting criminals/car hoons.

Here in Wisconsin, I see:
Ford Crown Victoria
Dodge Caravan Sport
Chevrolet Camaro SS
Harley Davidson something-or-others (don't really care for Harleys)
And I saw a '32 Ford street rod cop car at a car show. It's the guy's personal vehicle but it has all the required equipment and is an active cop car when it needs to be.
