My guess would be, that their marketing team is as lazy as their design team, they are too lazy to come up with new names...

^ not as lazy as porsche though, and Astons look way better than Porsches IMO. They show more change, but yeah, they are quite similar. Only thing aston that bothers me is that ppl confuse them with chrysler sometimes due to the front grille.
