Man.. It's a damn shame to see such a nice AE86 smashed up like that.

How much did you sell it for? I've been looking on and off for one in decent condition, but you can only find AE86's that are half dead or too expensive..

Well, when I sold it, there was a confidentiality agreement between myself and the buyer. It was a very hot car with about 240hp to the wheels at that time. It was well over the average AE86 that you see for sale...even the nice ones people have tricked out. Best of luck looking for your GTS, they're hard to find now, for a "fair" price. You have to try and find some older owner, and "create" a sale. Most of the ones on the market are from people exploiting the drifting craze and the cars are overpriced for what they are.

I first purchased the car in 1989 (well, my folks bought it for me) as my first car in High School. It was $6500 back then and had 65,000 miles on it. When I sold it, it had over 200k.

Probably sold it for a pretty decent price.. 240 to the real wheels in that "tin can" that thing must of been a blast.. Thats awesome that you had that car so far back. It is really hard to find any GTS around now. I'll just keep my eyes open though. I have a big soft spot for toyota's, especially ones from the 80's

Yeah, it was a lot of fun. It was stripped won to 2,000lbs, so the power to weight was very good. One racing bucket, one passenger seat and a rollbar...
