I second that, precisely what I thought when I first saw it.

I third that, but it doesn't pull off the lines as well as the CTS. So it just ends up looking like a cheap immitation (which it probly will be in the end).

the yamaha motor being worked on was mentioned int the december issue of motor trend, i believe... or automobile. i definately see a future for it in some of our more domestic cars; but its still to early to tell for sure.
honestly, im not a fan of this cars styling (mercury 427 concept~~~ trying not to be a re-styled ford)

as long as the car is reliable and has a good interior, this is a good step for ford. Id much rather have this over an Impala, or Grand AM, and thats what this car is truely targeted at. Not the Accord or the Camry, but the Domestics side of the market. Now all ford needs to do is get some more engins out and this car wil be fine.

It was underpowered for the Taurus, 235bhp was nowhere near enough to tow that barge, and thirsty, the best mileage we ever got in our car was about 19 mpg, think about that for a moment...19mpg, and that's on the non-imperial gallon, i.e. only 4 quarts to the gallon, not 5. It had terrible range, a rather atrocious ride and handled...well...like a big wallowy car with extremely stiff springs and a big heavy engine in the nose. If any V8 is going to find its way into the Fusion/Zephyr/Mazda6, then it had better be longitudinally-mounted, rear or 4wd, and the engine should probably be some version of the AJV8...probably the 3.5L unit that Jag uses in its low-level XJs.

the xc90 has a transvers for a front drive setup with awd secondary and not a front engine rear drive with transfercase which would be needed if a Jag moter was to be used, the yamaha moter in the xc90 was at the Paris auto show, according to speed chanel
