Best wishes to Hammond, I hope he makes a full recovery.
This is very bad, but we can hope he has no longterm injuries. From the emails it seems the management at Top Gear were acting rather foolishly. They should have thought more about this feature and what could happen with someone driving such a vehicle with basically no experience. What's happened has happened though, and let's just hope for the best.
