Driving a C6 Z06 in the UK... a TVR owners impressions...
Here you go.. a current TVR (soon to be C6 Z06) owner's impressions of the C6 Z...
http://www.motorworld.net/forum/show...=628661#628661
Eventually the world will believe... At which time Ferrari and Lamborghini and Porsche will be forced to produce more cars and charge less... because you CAN have it all... low price, excellent handing and killer speed..
And in the end, how can more cheaper supercars be a bad thing? You know you all want 500hp street cars..

still doesn't look as good as a Ferrari/Porsche/Lambo, or sound as good, or have an interior of matching quality......all personal opinions of course.

if I was interested in looks and not performance would I have bought a WRX (something most think is ugly)?
Looks do play a part in it for me, since you do need to look at the thing everyday.
Don't get me wrong, if I only had enough for a C6 Z06 (probably can't get them here anyway) then I wouldn't hesitate. However if I could afford to instead get an F430 or Gallardo (for example) I wouldn't hesitate despite the big price increase.
I've dreamt of owning a Ferrari or Lambo since I was a young boy (so old now), can't say the same about Corvettes.

yeah, that guy has a TVR... but I'd like to see some comparison with those germans and italians ...
everybody knows that TVRs are wild cars for real hardcore drivers... that's why Z06 was faster in the corners, right?

It's true, and when it comes down to it - Chevrolet can build all the rockets on this earth that beat everything European and Japanese they will still be a Chevrolet in most peoples minds, bar one or two, that is. Most car manufacturers wont wake up to the fact, because the Z06 wont steal that many sales off them. That's the bottom line.

though i true can say that this is one of the great car of all time. i still would rather build my own, be that a ground up hot-rod/custom or take a every day beater and make it into a decent sleeper. Mainly b/c there isn't one like it and i put my blood and sweat into it. Its a whole diff. ballgame when you make it with your own hands. no Ferrari, lambo, porsche, tvr, vette, etc. could ever match something you make. PERIOD! :hello:
sorry RC, but i am ready for backlash 8)

I was hoping to just draw people in with this thread linked to the real one.. But I am guessing some folks would not be caught dead posting in the Muscle car Forum..

What backlash?
HotRods are great and all, but it depends if you want to build or drive. Custom Rods are not daily drivers and often the effort and expense put in them means you are much less likely to drive them as wild as you dreamed you would once you are done building them.

Pretty interesting review, sounds like he really enjoyed driving it. RC, have you driven one of these yet...I know you like your C5 Z06 more, but you know, just for a little comparison.

I'd rather have a Sagaris.
Like Everso said, its an animal. A real drivers car....no HUDs, ABS, TC and all that junk.
Damn I'd even pick it over some F-cars
Anyway the Vette is not going to steal anyone sales trust me on that.
How fast things are doesnt mater.
If it was all about performance and not the attitude, the looks, the soul, the smell and the whole religious experiance of driving a particular car then we all would be driving some radicals, caterhams, and GT3s.
