this was the kind of race u wanna see lots of excitement, lots of action...btw, when Christian Albers spun out there, i was glad F1 drivers have incredible reflexes...it could've been pretty nasty otherwise...

This whole season so far has been pretty exciting, i hope Kimi will get close to Alonso, and in a perfect world even more ppl would come close, so u really have no idea of who's gonna win...dunno who that would be then, maybe Trulli, but s ofar he's just been fast in most races, instead of having scored his points by overtaking...he overtookfisichella in a nice way today tho 8)

I enjoyed this race, Some great over taking manouvers. Schumi showed he had some pace, but Kimi really came out on top. Webber would be pretty pissed about the pit incident with his team mate, but Alonso was just getting slower and slower, couldnt be helped i guess.

The last lap with schui nearly taking out his bro, that was funny stuff, you see the toyota just swearve out of the way, and fast...lol..

that's was a spectacular race......and its all thanks to Trulli, if he didn't go for the pass, it would've sucked...
...and this worseless strategy of the Ferraris, (backwards race) a new term that I have learned is not working, too many obsticales
...but that was the best race so far but it can only get more exciting from here, its back to back to back

Well... I have to say that I wasn't expecting the race to be so good, judging by the Qualifying times, but fortunately it was very good.

Congrats to Kimi on another deserved victory - he drove a fantastic race and showed once again that the McLarens are the fastest cars at the moment. Even with a one-stop strategy and the softer tyres, the car held up togheter 'till the end of the race and on the first laps he left Alonso well behind.

Speaking of which, I have the feeling that Renault will struggle to mantain the lead in the WCC, and the same goes for Alonso in the WDC. Even on a slow track (where the Renaults are usually strong) it was clear that both the Mclarens and the Williams had a better pace; same goes for Ferrari - once again they proved that the car is very fast (specialy on Michael's hands), but Qualifying pace is still a problem. Luck wasn't there either - without that Safety Car incident and Barrichelo's penalty things could have been alot different... And that is proven by Michael setting the fastest lap of the race when he still had alot of fuel on board. Shame that after that traffic slowed him down - still, he was able to unlap himself.

Going back to the Renaults, I was surprised by their (bad) performance. Alonso's car COMPLETELY destroyed its rear tyres - and since they were on the harder compound and the fastest lap set by them wasn't impressive at all, this makes think that they will struggle on the next races, as said before. They're still very strong on Qualifying tough.

Williams were also a good surprise - very good race by them. Kudos to both driver for the overtaking manoeuvres.

And like Max Power said, thanks to Trulli for "opening the can" with that Kamikaze move. Thanks Trulli!

Ah, and thanks to Villeneuve too!

And Ralf: lol man, were you sleeping or what...?

Another great race for this season... now kimi's had no unfortunate incidents and has a decent car under him, i can't really see anyone stopping him this season. Whether he'll do enough to catch alonso is a different matter.

I don't get ferrari's pace at all.... clearly they had some at some points during the race but it was far from consistent.

Renault's tyre degrdation was fairly worrying, but with the rear bias weight distribution and the track generally being hard on rears then maybe it was just a one off, we'll see next race.

Great job by williams - nice to see the top Brit based manufactures back where they belong

A fantastic race for Kimi, and a well deserved victory. The deserving car won today. Another congrats to Williams, fantastic job by both drivers and I hope that they have finally begun to turn the corner.

As much as montoya frustrated me you can't argue with his charge in the race. Rear of the field to the front is fantastic (especially at Monoco).

We all for the most part enjoyed the race, just wait til two more competitive cars are thrown in the mix next week

A great race!!!!

It's amazing how kimi can pull out such a lead with a fully fueled 1 stopper car from a 2 stopper who, we at least at first, didn't have to look after his tyre cos he was running on the hardest compounds. Great to see the championship shaping nicely. Go kimi!!!!

I think the situations between Renault and Ferrari are reversed. Ferrari have trouble getting speed from their tyres in one lap qualifying and renault don't have such problems but come the race, the ferrari, well, MS in particular can run the pace of the front runners. But only after about 20 or so laps. Maybe his tyres coming good perhaps? Where as the renault would be struggling at that time.

Nurburgring will be another Mclaren walkover. With BAR getting the better of the renaults along with ferrari and williams. Let's see. Can't wait.

Webber got his first career podium finish......not sure what else happened, thats all that matters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sensational stuff, if Webber had of pitted before Heidfeld then it may even have been a 2nd place finish - but 3rd is good enough for now
It was great to see some passing at MC - a very enjoyable race.
Congrats to Kimi obviously and it seems he and Alonso will fight till the end in the championship battle this year

Ah something I forgot to mention was that it was nice to see Jenson Button in the commentary box for this race - his comments were great IMO and really added some insight into the race

I unfortunately didn't watch the race....
Apparently, MS overtook two people in the last lap????? Can someone please expand on this

But I've gotta say, McLaren have really improved, and I congratulate Kimi on the great drive!

I think he only gained one spot on the last lap - he overtook Barrichello He nearly got Ralf at the finish line, then they touched after they had both crossed the line

It seems MS has caused some tension with his brother and teamate

Schumacher under fire from family and friends alike
From Kevin Eason in Monte Carlo

THE desperation of a dreadful season turned to resentment last night as the two drivers closest to Michael Schumacher in Formula One turned on the seven-times champion.

Ralf Schumacher described his elder brother as “crazy” after almost falling victim to an ambitious last-lap lunge as Michael hurled his Ferrari at the finish line in a futile attempt to grab sixth place from him in the Monaco Grand Prix. Ralf flicked his Toyota sideways in shock as he suddenly found the Ferrari taking up his space. “He should have switched on his brain before he tried that move,” he said. “One millimetre more and one of us could have been dead. Sometimes Michael is not right in the head.” However, the discontent had spread farther and, more damagingly, to the Ferrari motorhome, where Rubens Barrichello, for so long the German’s faithful lieutenant, sat fuming at being muscled aside by his team-mate. He was so upset that he took his case to Jean Todt, the Ferrari sporting director.

The Brazilian has had a long career as Schumacher’s sidekick, but when he decided yesterday that he deserved to keep his place ahead of his team leader on the final lap of the race, Schumacher took matters into his own hands. As the Ferraris emerged from the darkness of Monaco’s famous tunnel at almost 180mph and into the brilliant sunshine of the harbour front, Schumacher simply barged his way to the crucial inside line into the chicane, as if daring Barrichello to risk a crash.

“If I hadn’t moved out of the way, we would have crashed and lost the points we earned today,” Barrichello said. “I don’t want to destabilise the team, but I have spoken to Michael and Jean Todt. A few years ago I wouldn’t have said anything and I don’t suppose this will change anything.”

Schumacher was characteristically unrepentant, just as he has been before when the pressure of failure has overwhelmed his common sense. This time he said simply: “I am a full-blooded racer. That’s what I am here to do. Do they think I came here just for a Sunday afternoon outing?”

i knew somehting was gonna happen between micheal and his bro ..... imo micheal should've learned in 7 years that there should be a competition and shouldnt have done what he did in monaco .... hes just being a sore looser ....
and anyway .. imo F1 is not about winning or loosing its about how good you do ... cuz the cars are different the setups are different .. no two cars are alike ....
winning and loosing is gonna happen in the A1 gp ...

Well I have to admit to being an MS fan, but also a racing fan.
I think MS was justified. Watching tha last few laps was painful because I could see Rubens had no intention of even trying to pass RS. Obviously MS was frustrated but I think Rubens is at fault for not racing, just cruising. MS saw a chance to take 1 or 2 more points and took it. How is that wrong? It is racing after all.
I hate to bring this kind of thing up, but could you see Senna settling?

That said. I am very happy for Webber, whom I've liked from the start of his career, to finally get a podium. Even though Nick was in front, it seemed Webber has had some bad luck in not gaining the podium earlier this year.

Great race from Kimi. He completely outclassed everybody in the race. No mistakes. If the Mclaren doen't let him down, I think he has a better chance at the Championship than Alonso.

I am looking forward to Nurburgring where hopefully there will be some great passing moves again!

I agree!
I have followed A1 for a long time and can't wait for it to start!

Michael is awesome! I saw the pass and it looked like he just stole the inside line from Ralph, it was his own fault for not protecting his space (well Schumi Sr. did jump on him pretty hard tho ) It was a great race with quite a few stunning passes.
I hope Ferrari picks up its pace soon, Michael still has a shot if he gets going, I think everyone has caught Renault, so the championship is still up for grabs!
