It also has occured to me as if it had 571hp from 6.3l of displc. it would have to be either forced inducted (and hence lots of torque which suits those heavy mercs) or relatively high-revving (which does not suit that much)... Or there might be two version under development - a less powerful NA one intended for ML,CLK etc. and a supercharged one for the upper classes - which might cause the confusion.

The new 6.3litre AMG V8 is N/A.

How can you be so sure ?
I've heard the same thing but the point is whether the more powerful one is NA as there apparently really are two versions under development as I claimed. As autobild stated - there is a 463-500hp version (definitely NA, to be used in ML63 for instance) and a 550-580hp version which is set to supercede the 500hp V8K. They all say the new V8 will be NA, but that doesn't have to mean it won't have it supercharged version.

I can't be sure. The thing is that I have never heard of a supercharged version of the new 6.3 litre V8 so that's why I thought I was sure it's N/A. It may very well be a supercharged version of that engine, only I haven't heard of that.

I donīt think itīs the new E63. The father of a friend of mine has a new SL55 and it has the same front spoiler as this one. I think AMG will only use this front in their current models. So i guess this is a new E55 AMG...

Personally i dont think the squaredness of the new front bumper works with mercs curves. Hopefully they move to n/a.
