2008 Audi RS4 to get 450HP

In June, citing AutoCar as the source, we reported that the 414 horsepower producing Audi RS4 is out of production. Apparently, that was a false rumor. Confirmed by Patrick Hespen, Audi’s Media Relations and Motorsport Specialist, that rumor was completely untrue. There will be a full build of the 2008 model year RS4 sedan, and production is still continuing. Audi has indeed said that the RS4 will have a 2-yr model run, 2008 being that second year. Well Audi has something up its sleeves for 2008. According to MotorTrend, Audi is working on a more powerful 2008 Audi RS4 that will produce 450 horsepower. The new Audi RS4 joins Mercedes, with its 2008 450 horsepower C63 AMG, to take on the new 420 horsepower BMW M3. The 450 horsepower is expected to roll out in fall of 2008. Come on BMW, step it up a little in the horsepower segment.
