Spy shots: 2008 Alfa Romeo 169

A number of camera-phone images showing what appears to be a 2008 Alfa Romeo 169 prototype/concept have surfaced online. The car might be displayed in concept form at the Geneva Motor Show in March. The 169 is a replacement to the aging 166. It is expected to feature a rear-wheel-drive platform derived from Maserati. The car pictured here was spotted at engineering firm IDIADA in Spain. The exterior appears very similar to artist illustrations of the new 169 that have appeared in the Italian automotive press recently.
