Danielle Lloyd, Miss Great Britain and girlfriend of pro soccer player Teddy Sheringham (hence the sports connection and justification for inclusion in The Flip Side), recently showed how those who don't know history must not be doomed when it comes to beauty pageants. Sheringham was helping her prepare for the BBC's Test the Nation quiz show and asked her: "Who was Winston Churchill : a rapper; U.S. president; the PM [prime minister]; king?" Replied Lloyd : "Wasn't he the first black president of America? There's a statue of him near me that's black." At least she'll look nice on television. Not that Sheringham will see. "Ted is so embarrassed," Lloyd said, "that he's going on holiday rather than watch."
