Lisbon - Dakar 2006 - 1st Stage - Dec 31

I know it's a bit late but I had some exams in the last days so it was completely impossible to put the pictures online.

I took this pictures in the last day of the year, during the first stage of the Dakar. It was a great day! I was more than 6 hours seeing all the vehicles passing by..... :shock:

It's really amazing to hear those engines screaming... it's something we can't hear on the TV. The Nissan Navara driven by the portuguese Carlos Sousa is by far the loudest car. That thing sounds like an F1. All the Nissans were very very loud, even the "almost stock" Navaras and Pathfinders. The Touaregs TDi were great to hear too, because of the turbo. It is almost loudest than the engine itself :shock: The chevrolet ProTruck and the Hummer had a great noise too, and let me say this last was maybe the most impressive car I saw.

Anyway, I hope I can be there next year 8)
