Default Top Fuel Dragster Info

From this month's Motor Trend, some interesting stats on Top Fuel Dragsters.

-500ci V8 (8.2L)
-7500hp
-45.5psi (3.0bar) of boost
-when engine is at full rpm, supercharger needs 900hp to run, and spins at 12,654rpm
-16 spark plugs per engine
-s/c reaches a temperature of 165 F after just 4.5sec of operation
-Fuel system can pump 77gals/min for WOT
-22.75gal of fuel are burned in warm-up, burnout, staging, and 1/4mi
-$900 for 55gal drum of nitromethane fuel
-$58,700 for a Top Fuel dragster's engine
-28 quarts of oil used in each run, sump has 70 quart capacity
-0-100mph in 0.8sec
-Driver experiences 4.75G during launch
-12,000lb of downforce produced at 325mph
-highest trap speed, 333mph
-parachute & brakes provides 6G of stopping force

Pretty impressive, and amazing how much fuel those engines burn.

Not sure if any of this info has been posted before, but hey...
