^^^^ True. The engine cover and wing block the rearview mirror, which is as big as a letterbox in the first place. All you see in the other mirrors are the big airscoops. The only way to know where you're heading when reversing is to open the scissor door and sit on the sill hanging outside the car.
But not to worry. The Countach was mainly designed to go forward and the view through the windscreen is excellent. And when you drive it the way you're supposed to, there's not much interesting going on behind you anyway...
