Michelin vs Bridgestone Tire War
I was wondering what every one else thinks about the constant tire war between Michelin runners and Bridgestone runners.
Personally I'm sick of reading about how Bridgestones got an advantage at this circuit but Michelins got an advantage at that circuit. But now Bridgestone is the best in colder temperatures plus they have the best wet weather package but Michelin are better in hotter climates and so on.
I realize it's not going to happen but I wish all the constructors would just race on one brand of tire which would therefore help equalize things a bit more. The tire controversy last year helped ruin the championship and I'm tired of seeing one team have such a large advantage over the other due to the particular weather conditions of each circuit.
Since the FIA are always trying to slow the cars down, moving to only only one tire manufacturer would help slow the rate of tire compound development each year. In theory I would like to see F1 go back to slicks but that will never happen.
I also think they should ban traction control while there at it but thats just me.
