Citroën is considering putting the batsh*t GT concept into production
Citroen GT supercar concept is going to make production, the company's product czar Vincent Besson has confirmed.
Originally the GT was only ever going to feature virtually in the video game Gran Turismo 5 but according to Besson the concept's popularity has forced a rethink.
"We are now thinking of a limited run, possibly as many as 20 units," he told Autocar.
Besson wouldn't confirm when the real GTs may emerge or the exact technical specs, he did admit that power for the road going GT is likely to come from either a GM or Ford V8.

Apparently, the word international economic crisis doesn't exist in Europe.

meh! why not... give it a GM LSA or the Ford GT V8 (they still make the engine right?...oh and don't ask me if it'll still meet euro emission standards) ... i saw it last year at the geneva show and thought it looked hot as well.

The Ford GT engine isn't in "full" production per say, however, the Romeo plant will continue supporting it... plenty of people have been doing aftermarket insanity with it. Even Whippled, the GT is 50 state legal... LSA/ LS9 is also a great option. Finally, the Boss 6.2 engine that is in the new SVT Raptor is bore/stroke - capable to 7.5 liters, and 750 hp NA
The LS7 would be a cheaper solution

Oh yeah. There's a whole bunch of new European GTs that now carry LS V8s. The new Zagato has an LS3.
