Shame on you. Being a Corvette enthusiast and talking down on another. Tsk Tsk!

LOL - the truth is most Vettes are built for and sold to "hairdressers", "posers" and "balding middle-aged tubby white guys"...
We (true sports car Vette enthusiasts) fight very hard for recognition - but when the auto-transmission is standard, with a 6-speed being only an option, and most people who buy the car DO fit into the above demographic and DO buy the auto setup - no wonder the Vette has the poor reputation it has. (for shit sake - the C6 they showed the world was an auto... what the hell kind of message does that send)
Anyone who buys an auto sports car should be shot - GM should be shot for even having a regular suspension catering to "hairdressers" - with the sports stuff only an option..
I mean think about it - this bloke had to take a C5 Z51 MN6 coupe - and then SPEND more money to bring it ot Z06 level - then take it beyond.
Quite frankly - GM should only sell a Z06 style model... and fuck the posers.
That is my opinion - sports cars are not supposed to be soft, friendly, quiet, smooth or luxurious.
They are supposed to stir up primal instincts when you hit the gas - and leave with a shit-eating grin everytime you drive it.
Just ask the chap who started this thread... let's see what he has to say about the base C5 coupe next time round...
