good thing it's modified. Those things are sloooow in stock form. I took one in my 88 Oldsmobile (aka epitome of grandma car) at a light one time. I don't know how they ever got any recognition as performance cars.

A v8 is a very good choice for a datsun 240 z just think about power to weight ratio and the 240 is also a very light car high horse power engine and light car =huge fun.

Did he know you were trying to race him?

I took down a Civic Si and a Stratus in mine. The Strat tried me at 2 lights and lost both times and my Z was completely stock. So either he didn't know you were trying to get him, or the engine had 2 million miles on it.

Once you drive one of these cars it's over. You've got the bug forever. I can't wait to get a 3 car garage and locate another one of these babies to play with

yes he knew. The rev, the rev back, the look, the whole nine yards. That car had nothing off the line and not much when it revved up. My olds only makes about 160 hp (but of course that's hp with some decent torque behind it. avg hp > high revving peak hp) but I have also taken down some 90's Civics etc (some with "R" badges lol). Plenty of ricers in my area to mess with.

The 240z just isn't quick . . . unless of course you're talking about one of the crazy modded ones like the subject of this thread.
