I rocked up at the owners place, put my car in his garage to replace the 930 and we left for the hills for the next couple of hours. What an absolute blast I had, this is what a REAL Porsche is all about.
It weighs just over 1200kg and has ~550hp (bigger turbo, custom intercooler/exhaust, 2.5bar boost or something crazy like that!) and relies on only the back wheels to propel it, as you can imagine that equals FUN! Some of the most brutal acceleration I have felt to be honest, and a similar race car feeling inside to the F50 and F430 Challenge I've been in previously. Wheel spin doesn't stop until you are into 3rd gear, and it only has 4 forward gears anyway.
The sound!! It pops and crackles like crazy, loud as hell plus the chatter of the BOV.....loved it.
His other Porsche (newer model) is currently undergoing visual and engine upgrades so once that is done we will have another hills blast.
Brillant!! I love older extreme 911 a lot! I can imagine the sound! been in a totally stripped down 964 3.8RSR replica and it's just :shock: this car with 550 must scare the shit out of a ninja!
