Nice scans - predictable garbage for the writing though...

So they like the Vipers power and presence - but not the the interior?

WTF is up with the Europeans and their obsession with "interior accoutrements and appointments and luxury"?

The car is supposed crush your brain against the back of your skull when you mash the gas pedal and suck your face off when you stomp the brake... and send your spleen careering into you pancreas when you turn the wheel...

..that is all..

Who gives a flying Scotsman about the interior when you are under way?

Posers and pooftas and horny gay men croon and run their hands over the dash and door panels getting all wet in their groin... :fist:

Drivers get in, buckle up and go like mad.

It gets so old to hear the constant ranting and raving about "Nice car - but the interior..."

European sportcars have much better handling than American sportcars, but they also have much better interiors, that is the reason why they sell a lot of European sportcars in the USA and almost nobody here buys an American sportcar.

Point well taken RC45; i agree. Another thing i really hate is when in fact EVO tests a Lexus and gives it 2 out of 5. That is stupid; plain and simple. The Lexus GS430 is supposed to be a luxury car; not a sports car. EVO's got to rate cars for what they are; not for what they think they should be.

Regardless i still enjoy reading EVO and that new Brera is beautiful; thx TT

thx for the scans TT. Some interesting cars!!

I've heard from a friend that the Brera looks less weird in real life. And to be honest I'm getting used to it's looks. It's good that it's different, Alfa's aren't supposed to be mainstream cars.

I think EVO got the performance figures of the Vectra OPC wrong, 5.6sec for a front wheel drive car... 6.5 perhaps, the belgian site says 6.7.

And that Jeep SRT8 can do 0-100 in 4.8sec, that's faster then a Cayenne turbo with 520 hp if I'm not mistaken...

Well, it's actually the interior that you're looking at when you're driving. Like my dad always says: "Who cares what a car looks like on the outside, you can't see it when you're driving." While I don't totally agree with him, he still has a point... But I guess that's why he drives a Toyota Starlet!

And thanks for the scans, TT!

Don't know about you, but I actually look at the road while driving, and the RPM and MPH guages. The last thing I think about when throwing my car around a corner too fast is how shiny & cheap my dash is (and believe me, it is. early 90's japanese quality ).

RC, you should be a preacher, cuz that rant was fantastic 8)

Thanks for the scans, TT, I look forward to reading about the Brera

*just read the Brera and Viper ones. I guess I was hoping the Brera would be faster and RWD to match it's looks, but oh well, I'll never see or drive one anyhow. I'm pretty surprised by the Viper review, though. They seemed quite positive on the performance, handling, and ride. I'm quite a fan of the looks, so it seems like a hell of a car.
