hmm... wierd.
i couldn't see it, but it looks like he may have started to have oversteer, then he countersteered, had too much grip, and sent him into the wall... perhaps some sand on the road?

hm....not seeing any excuse for that one, but maybe the road has some strange dips in it
pretty crazy sight, nonetheless, glad the driver is fine.

If he lifted up off the gas during steering, the wieght shift might be to blame.

i know cars with tremendous grip need constant attention to the steering/brake/throttle when they are driven at the limit.
an old video i once saw a corvette oversteer, lift off/counter steer, and grip was obtained much quicker then the driver thought, and he careened into a crowed of people, and he didnt move the wheel fast enough after he cought the slide...
thats kinda what i think happened here

Just watched it again. It seems like the bike coming on the other side of the road might have suprised him alittle. Then he brakes and that upsets the car abit.

The situation would have been better if he didn't try to counter steer out of it and let the rear flip around.

yeah shit happens.
there are so many variables in motorised vechicle control that it only takes one odd difference and bam.
you hit a canyon wall.
i've done the exact same thing on a dirt road.
its not as easy as it looks guys. even pros fuck up.

Yep, we all make mistakes and this was clearly the driver over-correcting.

Looking at the video in slow motion, it appears the decreasing radius and the bike had him off throttle and trail braking (you can clearly see the weight transfer way more violently than previous corners.
Wether counter steering or not, an off throttle snap oversteer might just as easily result in a full spin or a snap understeer response (similar to a motorcycle highsiding in mid oversteer slide).
It can and does happen to pros driving on the edge, don't be so hard on the guy - at least he wsa out enjoying the Scooby in the wild...
Oh - and notice how well behaved the Corvette was hehe
