Thanks st-anger very interesting.
I have a question about carbon fiber. I have always wondered about its ability to absorb energy in an accident. Obviously carbon fiber is lighter and stronger than steel. The lighter weight, I believe, increases safety in an accident, as there is less kinetic energy to be displaced. However, because it is less malleable than steel or aluminum it seems like it wouldn’t be capable of providing crumple zones to dissipate energy in a crash. I think possibly Porsche compensated for this characteristic of carbon fiber by using a monocoque.
Just curious if anyone had an answer to this question.

Is it not the same sub-contractor that make the Enzo chassis?
- are there big differencies between the two? Thinking in terms of carbon fiber technology?

...lakatu, will answer when i have time, sorry quite in a hurry now, btw check PM...!!!
yep, right ATR also makes the Enzo CFRP parts but the main difference is the resin used, the CGT´s resin technology is definitely ahead as it´s been especially developed with ATR and not the standard CFRP one - u can check that as u can see a shiny yellow "inside" the CGT´s CFRP parts...

I have to post this pic even if we already saw better ones of the next TT 911, but it will be old news when it will finally made it to my website :bah:
It was mindblowing on the track.. VERY quick through the corners, VERY early on the gas, very poised and with a loud sound a mix of whoosh, mechanic and exhaust noises mixed up in a terrific soundtrack! It was lapping close to a Gallardo (possibly the SE) and it was SO much more impressive!

Nice pictures marktrak. I quite like Cayman. I even have brochure about it. Thanks for posting pictures. When you look at those people on picture nr.4, it looks to be some presentation.

997tt Pics W/less Camo
I got these images from http://www.6speedonline.com
To tell you the truth it does not look as aggressive as the 996TT.. But I guess it will have much more power than the 996.. Last I read was 450HP.
