Default How do I take apart my external Iomega CDRW drive?

Well sounds easy does it not? Think AGAIN! I have spent HOURS UPON HOURS trying to take this thing apart! I am almost about to break this damn thing if I cant take it apart!

I have taken out every screw I see. Now I just need to remove the body panels but I cant seem to do it! Seems almost impossible! I want to take it apart and replace the CDRW drive it has with a DVD RW drive. So I can have an external DVD-RW drive.

So what I want to do is take this -

*CLICK ON THUMBNAIL TO MAKE BIGGER!*

And put it into this -
THIS

*CLICK ON THUMBNAIL TO MAKE BIGGER!*

i dont think it's possible. you'd probably ruin your drive in the process.

Ah yes it is possible! I had to kinda break the blue part but I did it anyways! And to my suprise its possible and now I have the DVD RW burner in and ready to work! It works perfectly fine on my IBM Thinkpad laptop but for my PC I need a damn driver. SO now I am off looking for a freaking driver! If ANYONE can help me find a driver then its gonna be much appericiated! I have searched now for about 30 mins looking for one but no luck!

Info - Sony Internal 16X DVD+/-RW / Double Layer Drive Black, Model DW-D22A-B2,

My model is a - "DW-D22A-B2" if that helps.

Outdated indeed. Not a big gamer on the computer so didnt need to buy another computer. Rite now I am using a Dell XPS T600 or something which cost 2300. Rip off rite now but in the day was pretty good! Anyways I am gonna try and copy the driver files from the lap top to the PC.
