Default Nissan sues Audi

Nissan sues Audi for the right to use the moniker Q. Nissan's US division Infinity already has a Q model, the Q45 and future Q models such as the QX56 and the QX4. Audi, on the other hand has announced to build and name its future SUVs the Q7 and the Q5.

And i guess it also confirms the rumour about an A4 sized Audi SUV...the Q5

I'd rather see Audi get the right to use Q5's and Q7's. Q=Quattro

The average person doesn't realize what they are buying, they'll just refer to it as the Audi SUV. Is there a reason that Audi used Q, it seems there's more letters than A and Q in the alphabet that they could have chosen from.

Audi should win this one... they were using Q before Nissan started making real cars...

Audi should threaten to develop a car called the "Infinity+1" that would give them something to sue about.

LOL I don't think Nissan has anything to complain about. If people get confused by this and accidentally buy a Nissan because they think it's an Audi, then that's an advantage to Nissan. The chances of this working the other way around are absolutely zero.

If there really is any confusion over this, Audi should be the one sueing! LOL A Nissan that is mistaken for an Audi definitely brings damage to the Audi brand.

interesting little bit of news. i think that's pretty stupid to be suing over the right for a single letter. i like both of these companies, but i don't think nissan/infiniti should win.

I think its alright for audi...because people are not dumb to tell the difference between Audi and Nissan...just like the type R-s from Honda and then come S type R for Jaguar (a better performance of S type) I guess Nissan doesn't have to sue Audi just for that...

wasn't volvo involved in recent negotiations with another car manufacturer (I guess MB) over the use of the letter "S" for their cars?

next thing will be the use of MPV, SUX, crossover, numbers and more shit like that
