Yep, it resembles the Ibuki prototype.
I heard of a 1.8 126bhp, and a 160bhp version. Don't know if it's just that.
I think the MX5 deserves something like a 1.8 200bhp
Something not much heavy, but around the 200bhp mark.

i think it deserves some rotary power.. i know chances are very slim.. but it would be a damn fun car to drive

Rotary Power.... not a bad option.
It would have a light engine, but yet capable of developing some BIG horsepower.
But, I don't know if Mazda want to risk the spectacular fame of the Miata in putting a potencially non-reliable engine in their best seller.

I agree with you, a 200hp engine would be perfect for a light chasis as the Miata's.
|
Yep.. it would be an S2000 killer!

well i hope they would introduce a mazdaspeed version of it like they did with the current miata. and yes 200 hp seems appropriate

using the rotary for the mazdaspeed would be money. either that or offering it as an option opposed to the normal four-banger.
still tho, despite its great handling, I think its a car for little girls. It looks so childish. Wasn't a fan of the old MX5 either, even tho I respect it

I think this is ugly, especially the front - Saturn VUE headlamps. Eeeurgh.
Interior is nice.
I'd take a current shape Madzaspeed Miata over this new one!

I don't like the front end too much...the Ibuki concept managed to keep the look of the original and more recent Miatas, but also look new. This looks a little too fussy, and what's with the fucking auto-gearbox!?!?!?!?!
