Reinterpretation of Lancia Stratos at Geneva show
From the Autovisie site:
A London based design studio independently revives the Lancia Stratos with a reinterpretation of the car that will be shown at the Geneva show. Lancia has always been associated with luxurious and stylish cars, until they made a name in rallying during the eighties, with cars like the Stratos. With the introduction of the Thesis Lancia had announced their strategy was to go back to their old principles. Besides, Lancia doesn't have the funds to develop a platform for a new sportscar. The men behind the British design studio are selfproclaimed Stratos fanatics and with their prototype hope to make Lancia reconsider their strategy. For now, Lancia has no plans for a new sportscar.
I'm really curious what this thing looks like! Judging by the photograph I posted it's instantly recognisable as a Stratos. I think chances of Lancia producing a new sportscar are very very slim. Even the wonderful Fulvia concept on the already existing platform of the Fiat Barchetta didn't get the green light. Then I guess a new platform is even less likely. Still, there's no harm in dreaming, just like those Londoners do...

Yep, no chance of this going into production But maybe the outcome will be like with the Brera (I still wish it had the verticaly lifted doors, as the concept suggested).
I'm really interested how this will look like. With the Geneva show appraching with big steps, I cannot wait!

So you're planning to go the Geneva again? Any chance of taking a detour via the Netherlands with the trusty old AX to take me along?

Don't worry, pictures will be taken!! However, if I can't take any pic for some reason, I'm sure TT will provide us a big, big, big amount of high-res pics of every car!

I dont get it... the British design firm is spending money on a prototype just so that Lancia would reconsider releasing a sports car ? I would love to see a new Stratos

Yeah, but this car won't be on the Lancia stand, so you can forget about this Stratos concept and the Lancia girls in one picture... Oh well, that's what photoshop's for, right?
