Ogg vorbis playing head unit?

Hey, I'm looking for an OGG file playing head unit to upgrade the stock cd player my car has (1999 Mustang V6). Most people would say just convert my files over to MP3, but the problem is that I have encoded nearly 16000 now in that format and am very conscience of audio distortion (which is why I originally coded them all in OGG because of it especially good quality) which I would certainly get if I were to convert from one lossy format to another.

I've been looking around on the net and have found only hack job ways of doin it using an external players and I really want to avoid that if possible.

Any ideas?

My guess is that there isnt one out. You said that you search online and "online" knows more than us. If you didnt find a player for OGG, then I dont think there is one. How much quality can you lose when converting to MP3 anyway?

Just convert to high bitrate CD-Quality MP3's

The OGG files either came out from a CD-rip or dloaded off the net which was posted by someone who did a CD-RIP. Being that the case, I cant imagine having your OGG file converted to a HIGH MP3 bitrate yield to a loss of quality.

Unless the OGG was recorded at the studio which I dont think.

I would have, however OGG compresses better and thus yields far smaller file sizes. Trust me, with 16k songs, the size does make a big difference in total harddrive use. I'd say about 80% of it's legal (I've got around 650 cds)

The way the compress is different, taking out different parts ouf the song. Thus, when you recode a file it actually worstens the file significantly, even when encoded at the same bitrate.

The first to go in this case is the trebles. They become all tin-ish sounding and fuzzy. Drives me up the wall.

So yeah, in lieu of having to rip everything all over again, I'm hoping for something...
