Default Viscous Differential

Just put about 8 thousand miles on my 04' g35 coupe and the stock differential already seems to be failing (ie. It doesnt want to close when i need it to, slides, donuts, etc..?) Anyone else have problems with the Viscous differential? Any suggestions? Thanks!

Yeah this is a fairly common problem. Sport Compact Car magazine had the same problem after just 1 powerslide in their project 350z. I think the problem is because they used the same diff. that they have been producing for years on other cars, without the right adjustments to handle the power that the Z cars put to the ground.

Anyway, heres the link where they talk about the stock diff.

Good luck!
